A Dog's Care Magazine was started in 2004 as an idea that there might be a place on the web where the dog writer can give back to man's best friend. The magazine is wholly owned by Triple H Kennels, a Georgia company started by CEO Scot Hanley. Our mission is to provide educational and engaging content about dogs for their humans. We sustain this service financially through soft sales of pet products on the web, largely by providing one link per article to our store.

Writing for A Dog's Care Magazine

Writing for A Dog's Care Magazine is by invitation to interview for a contract position only. Invitations are extended on a case by case basis and candidates are selected from time to time from The Dog Writer Forum

Staff at our magazine regularly manage the forum and examine the articles and sample work (or snippets) that have been posted by our readership for public reading. Typically, our staff will read your posts and assuming your posts are educational, entertaining, informational and good reading, you may be contacted to write for A Dog's Care as a freelancer.

Why Can't You Just Hire A Writer Without Sample Work?

Please be aware that we do not believe hiring a writer without insight into the writer's work via a sample in our forum makes good sense. Imagine the writer's disappointment and the additional work for us if we had to let a writer go because we did not do our homework up front! Some writers are selected based upon only one sample post and the process is very simple to start. There are no fees, no strings etc. we are a reputable organization and plan to stay that way.

It is not a good idea to solicit us for work as a writer. It is a good idea to post your work in The Forum.
